Overview
The Department of Children, Youth, and Families is hiring a Communications Specialist 3. In this position you will serve as the agency’s lead strategist for visual communications, responsible for planning, developing, and managing high-impact design products that advance DCYF’s mission, equity goals, and public engagement strategies. As a subject matter expert, the incumbent advises executive leadership and program teams on visual messaging, accessibility, and brand alignment across platforms. The role requires deep expertise in visual storytelling, user-centered design, and inclusive communication practices, with authority to make independent decisions on design strategy, execution, and evaluation. This position will be in charge of creating a document management and workflow process for the agency, and managing and maintaining the software associated with that document management system.
