Overview
The Weber Shandwick Chicago office is currently seeking a Vice President to support several clients in our growing Corporate / Enterprise Practice. The ideal candidate will have experience in brand and reputation building communications, managing executive visibility, media strategy and team leadership. The candidate will have the opportunity to drive a broad range of corporate reputation campaigns across a variety of clients, while leading a team of practitioners and collaborating with Weber Shandwick’s network to develop strategic and creative client work.
What You Will Be Doing
- Develop and grow positive relationships with clients, maintaining the company’s reputation in terms of delivery and quality
- Provide strategic counsel to clients where possible, being able to assess problems and define logical and effective solutions for clients
- Lead the delivery of high-profile accounts across multiple markets
- Execute client programs to support media relations, corporate event and executive visibility programs
- Work successfully with partner agencies as part of a client integrated agency team, both internally at WS and externally
- Work effectively with finance colleagues to deliver accurate quotations for all client projects or new business work
- Write well-structured, persuasive content and help train other team colleagues to do the same
- Contribute innovative ideas for the client and new business work, inspiring ideation amongst team members
Qualifications

Vice President, Healthcare Practice
We are seeking a strong Vice President to join our Healthcare Practice in Chicago. The Vice President will have proven leadership and client service skills, and experience managing integrated communications programs. The candidate will be the day-to-day contact for clients, manage communications across a cross-functional agency team as well as client team, and support flawless execution in the most efficient and productive way. They will display personal ownership and accountability for client engagement, with the ability to cultivate and nurture long-term partnerships and client satisfaction.
Responsibilities
Manage programs involving reputation management, executive thought leadership, internal communications, crisis communications, and integrated media strategies to drive corporate reputation for pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device and health association clients and prospects.Manage workstreams with a focus on supporting corporate reputation communications and disease awareness campaigns with grassroots, community-level activations.Oversee communications programs in support of regulated products like medical devices and pharmaceuticals, including sharing of clinical data and regulatory milestones.Under senior guidance, support development of strategic plans and recommendations tailored to clients’ business objectivesDraft key messaging and execute on materials proposed in plans, including but not limited to enterprise-level content, media strategies and pitches, narratives, strategic decks, and content for branded and unbranded disease awareness campaigns.Maintain daily client contact, serving as a trusted resource and advisor.Facilitate cross-functional team integration (strategy, creative, integrated media specialists, etc.) to deliver on client plans.Act as an effective, two-way translator between clients and teams, actively counseling development of work in the best interest of all parties.Proactively support and suggest improvements and new ideas to exceed client expectations by leveraging industry knowledge and experience.Have ownership of client financials and profitability.Coordinate integration with other agency partners.Successfully navigate conflicts across internal stakeholders, clients and agency partners.Manage ongoing team resourcing / staffing to ensure successful delivery of work product.Actively participate in agency development and assist with new businessBasic Qualifications

We are seeking a Manager, Client Experience who is passionate about healthcare and making a difference in the lives of patients living with various diseases and conditions. As a Manager, you will work across several teams, serving as a key client contact and overseeing the success of various client program and day-to-day work.
As a successful Manager, you will be a strong leader with excellent writing and communications skills, an ability to translate client needs into project plans, and the ability to guide the work of junior team members. You will also help develop and implement engagement campaigns for a variety of healthcare clients, including pharmaceutical companies. Ideally, you should have agency / consulting or related experience with a background in healthcare communications, specifically pharmaceutical product communications experience.
