Responsibilities Work in a 25-bed Level 1 Trauma Center Operating Room at a teaching and Magnet hospital Day shifts, 3x12 hours, Saturday through Monday, 6 : 45am-7 : 15pm Typical case load of 60-70 per week with high volume ortho, spine, and neuro surgeries Will not work on cardiac or transplant cases Epic EMR is used; experience preferred Medication system used is Pyxis Travelers may be assigned 2-4 charge shifts per month, including some weekends No on-call or floating required within the hospital Facility provides scrubs Primary duties involve circulating in the OR for various surgical specialties except cardiac and transplant Orientation consists of 5-6 hours of modules plus Epic module during on-site orientation Travelers should expect to work at least one major holiday, with a preference for working Christmas Maximum of 6 days of requested time off allowed, with specific holiday blackout dates and no RTO during orientation week First-time travelers are accepted Parking is available on-site for a daily fee or at an offsite garage with shuttle service weekdays Team-based environment with supervisory support Must pass an EKG exam with a score of 80% or higher prior to start Requirements Active WA or compact RN license required; compact license holders must apply for WA and complete suicide prevention training Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room RN experience required, including Level 1 trauma and neuro OR cases BLS certification required Experience with Epic preferred but not mandatory Circulating skills in a Level 1 trauma center required COVID-19 vaccination and booster required with no exceptions Must not have been employed at the facility within the past 18 months Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-625518.
