Position Description : The AIS Athletics Department serves Pre-K through Grade 12, with approximately 40 Middle School, JV, and Varsity teams across sports including Cross Country, Volleyball, Soccer, Basketball, Golf, Tennis, Track and Field, Ultimate Frisbee, Swim and Dive, and eSports. The Athletics Department seeks committed, understanding, and versatile coaching candidates to serve as community coaches for Middle and Upper School teams. Specific roles will be determined by experience and expertise. Ideal candidates are those who contribute to our programs in a variety of ways and have a passion for working with student-athletes in a multicultural and inclusive athletic community. Position Responsibilities

• Serve as a positive role model to players and parents.
• Teach skills through effectively planned practices at a level appropriate for each team member.
• Condition athletes for endurance, strength, and agility.
• Direct the team's practice and play in games, dependent upon the coaching role.
• Teach sportsmanship, teamwork, work ethic, and responsibility to the team.
• Monitor players\' personal conduct during games.
• Collaborate with other coaches in the program and athletic department to strengthen teams and programs.
• Engage in ongoing professional growth through classes, clinics, workshops, and affiliations with professional organizations.
• Transport the team to away competitions as needed.
• Perform other related duties as required.
