Level III trauma center offering facilities with cutting edge technology, 14 operating rooms, and a staff who create and nurture a welcoming environment. Full-time 7on / 7off - 24-hour shift 12 hours of primary call then 12 hours of back-up call coverage Do not need to remain in-house during their 12 hour back-up call coverage 2 surgeon model with APP support Moderate trauma with a variety of cases Evaluation of all trauma and emergency general surgery consults Outpatient follow-up in clinic Round on in-house patients Compensation : $2688 per day Employee model with full benefits package including professional liability insurance with tail plus CME allowance $25k Signing Incentive Relocation Assistance up to $20k Quality Bonus Limited billing and coding responsibilities Requirements Fellowship in surgical critical care or trauma MD or DO : board certified Active or in-process Texas medical license Willing to relocate to the Abilene area522-bed medical center, a women's center, rehabilitation hospital, cancer center and numerous other innovative services.No matter where you come from, you will find a little bit of everything in this university city of 120,000 located on 1-20 just 2.5 hours west of the Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas metro.
