Medical Hematology Oncology MD / DO We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Hematology Oncology MD / DO to join our esteemed healthcare team. As a Medical Hematology Oncologist, you will play a critical role in the diagnosis, treatment, and long-term management of patients with hematologic disorders and cancer. Responsibilities : Patient Care : Conduct thorough evaluations, diagnose hematologic and oncologic conditions, and develop personalized treatment plans tailored to each patient's unique needs and preferences. Chemotherapy and Immunotherapy : Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, and other systemic treatments, monitoring patients closely for efficacy and adverse effects. Hematologic Disorders : Manage a wide range of hematologic disorders, including anemia, thrombocytopenia, leukopenia, clotting disorders, and hematologic malignancies such as leukemia, lymphoma, and multiple myeloma. Multidisciplinary Collaboration : Collaborate closely with radiation oncologists, surgeons, pathologists, radiologists, and other specialists to coordinate integrated care and ensure comprehensive treatment planning for patients. Clinical Trials : Participate in clinical research studies and offer eligible patients access to cutting-edge therapies and investigational treatments through clinical trials. Patient Education : Educate patients and their families about their diagnosis, treatment options, prognosis, and supportive care measures, empowering them to make informed decisions and actively participate in their care. Symptom Management : Provide supportive care to manage symptoms such as pain, fatigue, nausea, and psychological distress, promoting patients' comfort and quality of life throughout their cancer journey. Qualifications : Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school. Residency Training : Completion of an accredited residency program in Internal Medicine followed by fellowship training in Hematology Oncology. Board Certification : Board-certified or board-eligible in Hematology and Medical Oncology. Licensure : Current, unrestricted medical license to practice in Ohio. Preferred Qualifications : Research Experience : Prior experience in clinical research, publication record, or involvement in academic activities related to hematology oncology. Subspecialty Expertise : Additional training or expertise in a specific area of hematology oncology, such as bone marrow transplantation, hematologic malignancies, or cancer genetics
