Job Description & Requirements Specialty : MRI Technologist Discipline : Allied Health Professional Start Date : 10 / 20 / 2025 Duration : 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift : 8 hours, evenings Employment Type : Travel Position Title : MRI Technologist Schedule : Monday–Friday, 2 : 30 PM – 11 : 00 PM (5x8 = 40 hours / week) Job Summary : The MRI Technologist is responsible for producing high-quality diagnostic images using magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) equipment in accordance with departmental, organizational, and industry standards. This role requires a strong understanding of human anatomy and physiology, patient care, and imaging techniques. The technologist ensures patient comfort and safety throughout the procedure, explains the process, and provides age-appropriate communication and care. Additionally, this role includes infection control practices, radiation safety techniques, and mentoring of student technologists as needed. Key Responsibilities : Verify exam orders and assess appropriateness based on patient data and developmental considerations Prepare patients for MRI procedures, ensuring comfort and safety while addressing concerns or questions Position patients and operate imaging equipment to obtain optimal diagnostic images Utilize imaging software, computers, and related equipment to store and manage high-quality images Collaborate with physicians to evaluate images and determine if additional imaging is needed Apply and maintain best practices in MRI safety and infection control Deliver care that aligns with the developmental needs and age-specific communication of each patient Support training and supervision of students during clinical rotations ✅ Qualifications : Completion of an accredited MRI technologist program ARRT(MR) certification or eligibility preferred BLS certification (AHA) Knowledge of MRI safety protocols, contrast media, and patient screening practices Prior experience in a hospital or clinical MRI setting preferred About Malone Healthcare - Nursing With a commitment to providing a higher standard of service and experience in patient care, Malone Healthcare places expert nurses and allied health professionals in rewarding careers throughout the United States.
