ER RN Job Details Location : Tacoma, WA 98405 (Washington healthcare jobs) Facility : Level II Trauma Center, Level IV NICU Assignment Type : 13-week travel nursing contract (Start : 11 / 17 / 2025 – End : 2 / 14 / 2026) Shift : 12-hour mids (start times : 11 : 00–23 : 00, 13 : 00–01 : 00) Hours : 36 hours per week (guaranteed) Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $1880 - $2020 Weekend Rotation : Every other weekend Holiday Coverage : 3 of 5 major holidays required Parking : Free parking in designated areas Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Washington RN license preferred) Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience Required certifications : BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS, CPI / MOAB Traveler Competency Exam (Telemetry) must be completed and passed prior to start Proficient in cardiac rhythm interpretation, IV skills, medication administration, procedural sedation, blood administration, and cardiac medications Epic EMR experience preferred First-time travel nurses not accepted ER Nurse Responsibilities Deliver high-quality emergency care to patients of all ages, from pediatrics to geriatrics Manage trauma, sepsis, COVID, STEMI, stroke, DKA, mental health, respiratory issues, chest pain, and other acute conditions Maintain patient ratios of 1 : 4 (flex to 1 : 5 for low acuity) Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team including ER techs, charge nurses, float nurses, respiratory therapists, ED educators, security, house supervisors, and pharmacy staff Utilize Alaris IV pumps, Pyxis medication dispensing systems, and central / bedside telemetry monitoring Participate in orientation and ongoing clinical education to ensure competency and compliance with healthcare standards Uphold professional standards in appearance and conduct at all times Apply now to join our healthcare team as an Emergency Room Registered Nurse in Tacoma, WA, and take the next step in your travel nursing career!
