Akkodis is seeking a Technician I for a Contract with a client in Cupertino, CA. Candidates must have hands-on experience with mechanical testing using UTM and DMA equipment to be considered.

Rate Range : $22 / hour to 24 / hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Technician I job responsibilities include :

Conduct mechanical testing of materials using equipment such as Universal Testing Machines (UTM) and Dynamic Mechanical Analysis (DMA) testers.

Prepare test specimens to required geometries and surface finishes, and perform hands-on assembly, disassembly, and experimental modifications to hardware.

Operate various microscopes (optical, digital, laser, confocal) to image samples and analyze fracture surfaces and microstructures.

Ensure all testing and imaging procedures comply with ASTM / ISO standards and maintain accurate, traceable documentation.

Follow lab safety protocols and maintain a clean, compliant lab environment.

Required Qualifications :

AS or BS degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering Technology, or equivalent industry experience.

Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience in materials testing and lab work.

Proficiency in operating Universal Testing Machines (UTM) and Dynamic Mechanical Analysis (DMA) testers.

Experience using advanced microscopes (optical, digital, laser) for imaging and material characterization.

Pay Details : $22.00 to $24.00 per hour
