Description :

This position is for an RN in the Emergency Department.

The unit has a capacity of 12 beds and additional areas for fast track patients.

Patient ratios typically range from 1 : 6 or 1 : 4 depending on staffing.

The facility aims to staff 3 days and 3 nights with a mid-shift from 10 A.M. to 10 P.M.

There may be instances of 4 days on and 4 nights on, depending on the needs of the department.

The unit is equipped to care for patients on ventilators, BiPAP, and with central and arterial lines.

The electronic health record system used is Meditech.

The patient population includes all age groups.

Ideal candidates should be able to work as part of a team.

Preferred skills include experience with chest tubes and critical drips.

Common diagnoses and treatments range from the common cold to trauma cases.

Dress code includes blue scrubs, with the option to wear sweatshirts or tee shirts with scrub pants.

Unacceptable attire includes any clothing with offensive language or political statements.
