Duties and Responsibilities
Perform mechanical duties on equipment as instructed, in accordance with QA, health / safety and OSHA requirements and policiesDisassemble, assemble and test equipment at the direction of the Workshop ManagerPerform fabrication of lightweight apparatus and / or structures used in the maintenance of equipmentInterface with project management, engineers, technical personnel and other staff as needed to complete projects.Perform housekeeping and maintenance activities as requiredProvide any additional support where neededSupervisory Responsibilities
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.Job Qualifications
A minimum of three years of experience with refurbishment / reconditioning on parts in a job shop or similar environment - REQUIREDKnowledge of disassembly, assembly, machining and fabrication methods including MIG, SMAW & TIG welding practicesKnowledge of overhead crane, lift trucks and maintenance including hoisting and rigging techniquesKnowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic & piping systemsKnowledge of electrical systems (wiring motors and small panels)Knowledge in the use of hand and power toolsAbility to read prints and drawingsAbility to follow step-by-step procedures with accuracyCandidate must have good interpersonal and communication skillsMust have a valid driver's licenseEducation Requirements : Vocational or High School; Specialized Technical Training; or combination of training and experiencePhysical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to do the following :
