We are seeking a proactive and resilient Land Development Manager to oversee the full lifecycle of our projects. Responsibilities

  • Manage and lead the full lifecycle of land development projects.
  • Communicate effectively and build strong relationships with contractors, engineers, municipalities, and the internal Patterson team.
  • Strategically plan and schedule development activities to keep projects on track from start to finish.
  • Bid out site contractors, negotiate scopes of work, and oversee the quality and performance of all on-site work.
  • Proactively solve problems and handle conflicts to ensure smooth project progression.
  • Manage and review pay applications to ensure accuracy and accountability.

Qualifications

  • Experience : 3-5 years of professional experience, ideally from a high-volume corporate environment or from the contractor side of the business.
  • Knowledge : A strong, vocational understanding of land development, including technical vocabulary and on-the-ground knowledge of grading, topography, sewer systems, and dealing with rock and blasting.
  • Skills : Proven ability to identify and resolve complex, real-time issues in the field that could impact timelines or budgets. Proven experience in building and maintaining strong relationships with diverse partners. Comfort with managing project budgets and reviewing bids.
  • Character : A tough, resilient, and proactive individual who is not afraid of conflict and possesses a high level of emotional intelligence and moral character. The candidate should embody a driven, competitive, and servant-leadership mindset.
