ProKatchers is seeking a travel Pharmacist for a travel job in State College, Pennsylvania.

Shift :

Day Shift start times vary from 6 : 00 to 9 : 00 am

Work Experience :

  • The Clinical Staff / Ambulatory Pharmacist provides comprehensive patient care services through inpatient pharmacy functions, including but not limited to order entry / verification, medication checking / dispensing and other pertinent tasks that ensure safe and effective use of medications.
  • The Pharmacist may also rotate into ambulatory roles such as anticoagulation clinic services, oncology or others as determined by Manager.
  • The Clinical Staff / Ambulatory Pharmacist will be involved in patient care activities supporting a variety of patient populations, ranging from geriatrics to pediatrics.
  • Recent hospital experience preferred.
  • If rotating to an Ambulatory position : Pharmacy residency experience preferred.
  • Advanced practice certifications preferred
  • Knowledge of all current state and federal laws pertaining to the practice of pharmacy
  • Ability to positively interact with other pharmacy technicians, pharmacists, providers, nurses, other health system employees, and medical sales representatives.
  • Receives minimal supervision from the Pharmacy Manager and Supervisors.

    • Education :

  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy required.
  • Doctor of Pharmacy degree preferred.

    • License :

  • Current license issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Pharmacy or eligible for reciprocation in Pennsylvania within 90 days of hire.
  • If rotating to the Anticoagulation Clinic : Meets the American Heart Association’s standards for Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) and renews BLS every two years.

    BLS / CPR Certification.
