Guitar (and Banjo) Teacher - Kentlands School of Music - Gaithersburg, MD

About the Position

Ensemble Schools is seeking a fun, experienced, and professional guitar instructor to teach part-time at Kentlands School of Music , our Gaithersburg, MD location. We are looking for teachers who will instruct IN PERSON. We would also love to offer banjo lessons so multi-instrumentalists are welcome to apply!

Teachers can set their availability within our open hours as needed, but both students and school staff appreciate consistency and preference will be given to candidates with greater availability.

Successful candidates will have a strong music background evidenced by a degree in music performance or pedagogy or equivalent performing experience, a demonstrated love of teaching, experience working with young musicians, a robust appreciation for punctuality, reliable transportation, and the ability to pass a routine background check.

Instructor pay is commensurate with experience and will be in the range of $44 / hour. A 401(K) program with employer matching is available to all of our employees after 90 days on the job. Health benefit packages are available for all part- and full-time employees at Ensemble.

We offer both private lessons and group classes for both children and adults. Private lessons and group classes are offered on Piano, Voice, Guitar, Violin, Viola, Cello, Bass, Clarinet, Flute, Oboe, Saxophone, Trumpet, French Horn, Trombone, Baritone, Euphonium, Tuba, Percussion, Ukulele and Drums.
