Job Description

Are you looking for an opportunity that will challenge you while you take the next step in your career and take our  MMC plant in the Granite City area to the next level?  If so, this Plant Manager opportunity is for you. In this role, you will collaborate with the Regional General Manager & VP of Manufacturing to deploy manufacturing strategy through strong leadership of people and operations in the plant.  Responsibilities will include :

• Develop plant staff to ensure all team members are at required levels of performance. In the areas of deficiencies, work with individuals to develop them, or make necessary changes to upgrade talent
• Manage using metrics and a proven management experience & process.
• Drive continuous improvement in the areas of  Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Productivity, Employee Relations, Customer Service, and profitability.
• Drive analytical problem solving using Organizational Excellence tools.
• Manage at a level that is removed enough to see the big picture and allow staff to grow while remaining close enough to the details to keep things on track.
• Develop and implement capital investment strategy.
• Build strong customer relationships to ensure an understanding of their needs while demonstrating a sense of commitment to them.
• Ensure complete Safety, Quality, and Environmental compliance.
• Manage plant P&L to ensure profitability while always doing “the right thing”.
• Create a plant culture of high sense of urgency, total employee involvement & accountability
• Drive true 6S culture in the plant

Qualifications

As the selected Plant Manager you will bring with you at least 10 years experience in a manufacturing environment, with experience in at least three different manufacturing disciplines (Quality, ME, Maintenance, Materials, Customer Service, Six Sigma, etc) Additionally, you will bring with you. include :
