Salary : $27.02 - $32.33 / hour

PLANNING TECHNICIAN - CITY OF AIRWAY HEIGHTS

POSITION DETAILS :

• $27.02 - $32.33 / hour
• Union represented position
• Non-exempt, hourly, full-time (40 hours a week)
• Project Position - Duration two years under grant funding. Position evaluated for permanent status at the end of the period.
• Candidates must be able to pass a background check.

NATURE OF WORK :

Performs independent technical work in the review of plans, issuance of permits; compiling, storing and analyzing of data, assembling and developing cartographic maps for GIS systems. Most work is subject to checks and controls, or is verified in subsequent operations; if not detected, errors may cause embarrassment to the City or significant loss of time or money. Employee has regular contact with outside sources to obtain or supply factual information. Duties are sedentary in nature, are performed under normal working conditions, and require normal attention to prevent errors.

SUPERVISION :

Work is performed under supervision of the Planning Director and primarily works with the Planning, Building and Public Works Departments.
