DB Legal Support is a trusted leader in the legal services industry, delivering exceptional operational and administrative support to law firms and legal teams. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Staff Accountant to join our team on a temporary, contract basis and contribute to our growing financial operations.

What Were Looking For

We highly prefer candidates with prior experience working in the legal industryparticularly in plaintiffs lawwithin an accounting or finance capacity. The ideal candidate will bring a strong understanding of legal accounting practices, trust accounting, and case-related financial workflows.

The Contractor Staff Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing timely reports, and supporting day-to-day accounting functions in a fast-paced legal environment.

Scope of Work and Responsibilities :

• Manage and reconcile general ledger accounts and post journal entries
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in accordance with GAAP
• Conduct bank and credit card reconciliations
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable transactions
• Process employee expense reimbursements and monitor adherence to policy
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
• Support audit preparation and respond to auditor requests
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal controls
• Maintain accuracy and integrity of data within accounting software
• Provide ad hoc reports and financial insight as needed
• Complete additional project-based accounting tasks as assigned.
