The roles will operate in California (Pacific Time) daytime hours, so candidates must be fully available during those hours

is a must!
Min
bachelor's degree
with
3 to 5 years
of medical editing and fact-checking experience in a
pharma ad agency
( Strongly Preferred ),
medical education
may also be considered if they meet the other requirements.
Ability to understand the
ad agency editorial process
and manage assigned work without constant guidance.
3 or more years' experience
with the ability to conduct all types of reviews :
cold reads, compares, full reads, disaster checks, check changes , and know what the job needs for that round.
Experience working with
Oncology brands
or
neurotoxins
will be strongly preferred.
Knowledge of current
AMA style
and
FDA guidelines
governing
pharmaceutical products / devices .
Solid ability to use
MS Office (including Outlook, Teams, and Word) ,
Adobe Acrobat , and / or
ProofHQ .
Ability to
communicate well
with the brand and Editorial teams when needed.
Demonstrate the ability to
evaluate a task upon receipt, identify its requirements, and determine the best approach , rather than simply following instructions without question.
The ideal candidates should have experience with
full-service agency editorial processes , not just document reviews or minor edits done within a pharma company setting.
Skilled in knowing how to
navigate agency life , including when and how to raise questions appropriately and collaborate effectively with internal teams, would be beneficial.
Job functions / responsibilities :
Edit and proofread copy
for assigned and other brands as needed.
Fact checks annotated copy
using provided references, ensuring acceptable sources are used.
Collaborate and communicate
with the Editorial Director and team members to maintain quality and meet goals.
Prioritize and manage workload , meetings, and various tasks to ensure all deliverables are met with excellence; ability to handle multiple jobs and prioritize as needed.
Thoroughly understand
assigned brands
and
product categories .
Demonstrate a drive to ensure
adherence to clients and brand guidelines .
Contribute
ideas / feedback
for improving the process and minimizing errors.
Offer
guidance and training
to junior team members and freelancers to ensure the integrity of the editorial process.
Proactively
offer and provide help
to others to ensure all work moves through the department efficiently.
Create / maintain brand style guides and bibliographies
in a timely manner.
Understand and execute
AMA style
and varying
editorial styles
per brand needs.
The editors will work on a variety of print and digital assets, including
Print : Sales aids, flash cards, and financial materials. And
Digital : ISIs (Important Safety Information sections), banners, emails, and other promotional materials.
