DESCRIPTION :

The Loaner Service Specialist is responsible for organizing, assembling, and packing surgical products and instruments based on the surgical case schedule managed in a scheduling software program. Duties include inspecting surgical instruments to ensure they meet safety standards. Responsible for assisting in the coordination of equipment needs with the Sales Representatives and Product Managers. The ability to assist in the counting of warehouse inventory. The right candidate must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Professionalism along with outstanding efficiency and multi-tasking skills are necessary to ensure equipment is ready for delivery and shipment on time.

Additional responsibilities for this position will include the delivery and pick up of surgical medical device equipment among hospitals, clinics, and other healthcare facilities with use of a company-owned small van or SUV type vehicle. Delivery and pick up of equipment and products will occur in the EnduroMed geography which includes southern Wisconsin and Northern Illinois. Top candidates must have a clean driving record.

This position requires a flexible schedule as shift start and end times can be variable.Overtime may be required based on the needs of the business.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES :

  • Organizing, assembling, and / or packing surgical instruments and kits for scheduled surgical cases in all product categories in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Expectation to be crossed trained to handle products, instruments, and equipment for all product categories related to the business.
  • Inspection of products and instruments to ensure integrity of surgical implants and instruments remains intact to meet safety standards.
  • Responsible for checking-in and checking-out sets for surgical cases within a computer software program while following internal procedures.
  • Package surgical products and instruments for shipment in accordance with shipping requirements.
  • Work closely with Sales Representatives and Product Managers with surgical product needs to ensure they are on hand for scheduled surgical cases.
  • Accurately counting and taking inventory of medical items in the warehouse.
  • Professional interactions with healthcare facility personnel and EnduroMed Team members.
  • Ensuring credibility of all documentation related to medical items.
  • Function as a Medical Device Courier and assist in the delivery and pick-up of surgical products and instruments as needed based on the needs of the business.
  • Receiving medical items and understanding instructions from the healthcare facility.
  • Performing additional responsibilities as assigned by the Operations Manager.

REQUIREMENTS :

  • Good knowledge of medical terminology
  • Ability to run inventory software with basic computer skills.

  • Strong organizational, administrative, and planning skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and react effectively to urgent situations.

  • Ability to work unsupervised with emphasis on punctuality.
  • Physically fit with the ability to lift at least 55 pounds.
  • Passionate about healthcare efficiency.
  • Work on-call for weekend call schedule.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record (essential).
  • Capacity to drive up to 8 hours per day a minimum of one day per week and as needed based on the needs of business.
