Position Overview :

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic bilingual HR Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of HR practices, a strategic mindset, and experience in the construction industry. This role will be instrumental in shaping our workforce, enhancing employee relations, and driving HR initiatives that align with our business goals.

This role is a full-time, on-site position based in Northern Virginia.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
  • Provide guidance and leadership to the HR team, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Oversee company social media.
  • Lead the recruitment and hiring process, from developing job descriptions to choosing top-tier candidates.
  • Act as a point of contact for employee concerns and grievances, ensuring fair and consistent resolution.
  • Implement and manage performance appraisal systems that drive high performance.
  • Guide managers in addressing performance issues effectively and constructively.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Manage HR-related risks, including health and safety compliance specific to construction sites.
  • Manage, in assistance with the broader team, the organizations insurance programs with customers.
  • Identify and address training needs across the organization, including tracking certifications and other relevant employee information on an ongoing basis.
  • Oversee issuance and tracking of company equipment.
  • Oversee the administration of compensation and benefits programs, including health insurance.
  • Understand and assist with payroll processing and related payroll tax processes.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5-10 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in a senior HR role within the construction industry.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
  • Strong understanding of construction industry-specific HR challenges and solutions.
  • Wage scale, OSHA, CWHSSA, other CNST-related regulations, OCIP / CCIP
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement HR strategies that support business objectives.
  • In-depth knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
  • Experience with HRIS and other HR-related software.
