The Role
We're seeking a Site Assessment Project Manager to join our team in Los Angeles, CA. In this on-site role, you'll oversee environmental site investigations and remediation efforts, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. You’ll manage multiple contractors, budgets, and schedules while advising internal teams on technical matters.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and review contractor work for :
Phase I Environmental Site Assessments
Soils Disposition Evaluation (Specification 01 4524)
Soils Evaluations (SCAQMD Rule 1466)
Health / Safety Risk Assessments
Preliminary Environmental Assessments
Remedial Investigations and Feasibility Studies
Public Participation Plans
Removal Action Workplans / Remedial Action Plans
PCB (polychlorinated biphenyl) survey and mitigation
Assist in contract development and oversight of remediation contractors
Manage budgets and schedules related to environmental investigations and remediation
Provide technical advice to OEHS Management regarding contractor performance and cost control
Coordinate environmental review with Facilities Services Division for :
Project schedules and budgets
School design and construction planning
Emergency response
Waste disposal
Demolition planning

The Person
Required : 7 years of full-time experience in environmental investigations and remediation, preferably under DTSC or similar agency oversight
Required : Bachelor's degree in Geology, Engineering, or a related field
Preferred : California Professional Registration (Certified Hydrogeologist, Professional Engineer, or Professional Geologist)
Strong understanding of local and federal environmental regulations and investigation protocols
