Description : Overview : You will be the Advanced Algorithm Developer - Navigation, Tracking, Image Processing for our team, responsible for developing innovative algorithms for missiles and fire control products. Our team implements cutting-edge solutions in navigation, inertial tracking, and image / signal processing to tackle complex challenges.

What You Will Be Doing : As the Advanced Algorithm Developer, you will be responsible for designing and developing algorithms in areas such as navigation, inertial tracking, and image / signal processing. You will also develop complex models and simulations, evaluate system performance, and verify system and subsystem level requirements.

Your responsibilities will include :

Developing algorithms for navigation, inertial tracking, and image / signal processing

Creating complex models and simulations to evaluate system performance

Verifying system and subsystem level requirements

Presenting technical material to internal leadership and external customers

Collaborating with a team of subject matter experts from diverse academic backgrounds

Basic Qualifications :

• Degree(s) in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, physics, computer science, applied mathematics, or similar
• Professional experience and demonstrated proficiency in math as it relates to Kalman filtering, optimal state estimation, linear algebra, probability and statistics, multivariate calculus and image processing
• Demonstrated expertise in developing and analyzing algorithms related to navigation, inertial tracking or signal / image processing
• Relevant experience in one or more of the core algorithm development areas listed previously
• Proficiency in one or more of the following programming languages : C++, Matlab, Python
• Interim Secret Clearance is required prior to start therefore you must be a US Citizen.

Security Clearance Statement : This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely : Onsite Full-time : The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules : Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position : 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
