Travel Nurse Job Details Assignment Type : Travel Registered Nurse (RN) Location : New Haven, Connecticut 06510 Start Date : November 14, 2025 End Date : February 13, 2026 Duration : 13-week nursing contract Shift : Nights, 4x12-hour shifts (19 : 00 - 07 : 30); 3x12s also considered Guaranteed Hours : Yes Weekend Requirement : Every other weekend On-Call : 2 four-hour blocks per 6-week schedule Block Scheduling : Accommodated Patient Ratios : 1-2 patients per nurse Charting System : Epic EMR Scrubs : Provided Estimated Weekly Salary : $2100-$2250 Registered Nurse Qualifications Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience (1.5 years accepted with Level I or travel nurse experience) Active Connecticut Registered Nurse (RN) license (pending license accepted, must be active prior to start) BLS and NRP certifications required ACLS and AWHONN Fetal Monitoring preferred Experience with Epic charting preferred Ability to work every other weekend and participate in on-call rotation Flu vaccine required (no exemptions) Not accepting local candidates within 75 miles of New Haven, CT 1 professional reference required Labor & Delivery Nurse Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive nursing care to laboring patients, including high-risk obstetric cases Assist with vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and postpartum care for mothers and newborns Monitor maternal and fetal well-being using EFM, IUPC, and advanced monitoring equipment Administer medications and manage IV infusions (e.g., magnesium sulfate, Pitocin, insulin drips) Support breastfeeding, lactation, and provide patient education to new mothers and families Respond to obstetric emergencies and participate in rapid response / code teams Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including physicians, respiratory therapists, and social services Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Epic EMR Apply now to join our dedicated healthcare team and take the next step in your travel nursing career in Connecticut!
