Supply Chain Planner

Reporting to the Digital Solutions Supply Chain Manager, the Supply Chain Planner is responsible for the daily central planning activities supporting the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes for Telecom Connectivity and Telecom Optical Fiber products. This role will focus on customer satisfaction, operational efficiencies, and inventory control. The position will work closely with the Business, Sales, Engineering, Procurement and Manufacturing teams to meet effective outcomes though analysis and development of production plans that align market demand with manufacturing capacity models. The location for this position will be at the Highland Heights, Kentucky office.

Responsibilities include :

  • Maintain the production plan / schedule in a daily / weekly basis of the production lines following the Sales Orders priorities and the orders backlog.
  • Analyzes product specifications, availability and plant capacity and establish accurate lead times.
  • Work closely with commercial team to align backlog and priorities to meet service standards
  • Follow up and expedite production, rescheduling and re-planning when needed.
  • Follow up and expedite raw material with the Purchasing team when needed.
  • Planning and management of the logistic flows.
  • For TS-Connectivity, create and send purchase requirements to 3rd party vendors. Monitor and track product shipments from 3rd party vendors to our customers.
  • Provide recommendations on inventory stocking and replenishment strategies.
  • Monitor and manage slow moving and obsolete inventory levels
  • Work with production schedulers to ensure that customer requirements are met.
  • Maintain and adjust system infrastructure related to product replenishment policies.
  • Manage replenishment process and place monthly orders with intercompany suppliers
  • Assist with the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process.
  • Ensures planning system is updated with monthly sales forecast
  • Makes production changes at the direction of the Supply Chain Manager
  • Support the development of Continuous Improvement tools and processes to enhance business efficiency and accelerate performance

We are looking for candidates with a Bachelor's degree or four-year equivalent degree, 3-5 years of experience in Supply Chain or related field, preferred. Experience working in a fast-paced environment and prioritize duties to meet deadlines daily with limited supervision. Experience working with SAP, ERP systems, database, or PowerBi, preferred. Proficient user of Microsoft Office Suite. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Experience reporting data, with attention to detail. Experience in MRP (Manufacturing Resource Planning) is a plus. Strong organizational skills and the ability to work within a structured environment.

Work Environment / Physical Demands :

  • Works out of a normal office environment with standard office equipment available.
  • Extended periods of sitting or standing at a desk or workstation.
  • Repetitive tasks such as typing, filing, and data entry, which may require dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
  • Will be required to sit, bend, kneel, squat, use keyboard, read, write, and speak fluently.
  • Employee will regularly be required to lift and carry objects of 5-10 pounds as needed.
  • Employee will occasionally be required to lift and carry objects of 15-25 pounds as needed.
  • Employee will be required to work productively and cooperatively in a high-volume, fast paced, highly pressured environment and be able to respond efficiently and courteously to unanticipated problems and crisis.
  • This role is not typically exposed to adverse environmental conditions, except excessive eye strain.
  • When travel is necessary, will be exposed to typical travel environment and surroundings. This can be up to 15% of the time.
