Director of Security Engineering

A company is looking for a Director of Cyber Defense Engineering.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the development and deployment of an AI-enhanced Security Operations Center (SOC)

Define architecture for SOC functions, integrating AI and automation workflows

Build and mentor a cross-functional team of security engineers and specialists

Required Qualifications

MS degree or equivalent experience; Ph.D. preferred in CS, EE, or related field

15+ years of experience in cybersecurity with at least 6+ years in a leadership role

Proven experience in SOC engineering and security tool management

Familiarity with SIEM, SOAR, EDR / XDR, and cloud security solutions

Hands-on experience with detection logic and automation scripting (Python, PowerShell, etc.)
