Description :

  • Process payroll for direct care staff, administrative personnel, and other facility employees using Paylocity
  • Track and reconcile timecards, shift differentials, overtime, and on-call hours
  • Maintain accurate employee records including new hires, terminations, and changes in pay rates or schedules
  • Ensure compliance with California labor laws, wage orders, and Department of Social Services (DSS) regulations
  • Collaborate with HR to ensure proper documentation for paid time off, sick leave, and leave of absence
  • Prepare payroll reports for management and assist with audits or inspections
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding pay, deductions, and benefits
  • Support year-end reporting including W-2 and other tax documentation

Requirements :

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in accounting, Business, or related field preferred
  • 2+ years of payroll experience, ideally in a healthcare or residential care setting
  • Familiarity with California wage and hour laws, including overtime and split-shift rules
  • Experience with payroll systems such as ADP, Paychex, or similar
  • Strong attention to detail and confidentiality
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Bilingual (English / Spanish or other languages) is a plus
