Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an Invasive Cardiovascular Technologist for a day-shift Cath Lab position requiring at least 1 year of Cath Lab experience and current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications.

Responsibilities

Position is in a hospital-based cardiac catheterization lab

Typical schedule is five 10-hour day shifts from 7 : 30 AM to 6 : 00 PM

Duties include assisting with invasive cardiovascular procedures and radiological imaging

Procedures involve cardiac and vascular interventions under physician supervision

Uses EPIC EMR for documentation

Responsibilities include technical support during procedures, scrubbing, maintaining sterile environment, and operating imaging equipment

Role involves patient and family education on procedures and expectations

Expected to maintain orderliness of the unit and manage supplies for complex interventions

Participation in quality and patient safety initiatives is required

Candidates should be prepared for rapid onboarding and compliance with all background check and drug screening processes

Requirements

Minimum of 1 year experience in a Cath Lab or cardiovascular technology role is required

Active license required if applicable

Registered ARRT or RCIS required within 18 months of hire, or Registered Respiratory Therapist with CV-specific certification

Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association are mandatory

Fluoroscopy certification is required

High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree preferred

Experience with EPIC charting preferred

Radiation badge must be supplied by the traveler
