Job Summary :
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior ServiceNow IT Asset Management (ITAM) Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in designing, configuring, and customizing ServiceNow's ITAM suite, including Hardware Asset Management (HAM), Software Asset Management (SAM), and related integrations. This role requires a strong understanding of asset lifecycle management, license compliance, discovery / data integrations, and CMDB alignment. The Senior Developer will work closely with business stakeholders, architects, and process owners to deliver scalable solutions that improve visibility, reduce risk, and optimize asset utilization across the enterprise.
Key Responsibilities :
- Solution Design & Development
- Design, configure, and customize ServiceNow ITAM modules (HAM Pro, SAM Pro, Discovery, Asset Workspace).
- Build and maintain integrations with procurement, vendor management, and inventory systems to ensure accurate asset data.
- Develop workflows, business rules, scripts, and UI policies to support ITAM processes.
- Asset Lifecycle Management
- Implement and maintain asset lifecycle processes for hardware and software from request to retirement.
- Ensure proper alignment of ITAM data with the CMDB for accurate service mapping and dependency tracking.
- Support software license compliance and optimization, including reconciliation and audit readiness.
- Governance & Best Practices
- Champion ITAM governance, process maturity, and alignment with ITIL practices.
- Provide subject matter expertise on HAM and SAM capabilities, industry trends, and optimization opportunities.
- Define and enforce best practices for asset data quality, reconciliation, and normalization.
- Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
- Partner with business, procurement, and finance teams to drive asset management value.
- Collaborate with infrastructure and operations teams to ensure end-to-end asset tracking.
- Engage with leadership to communicate status, risks, and recommendations for ITAM initiatives.
- Support & Continuous Improvement
- Provide production support, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis for ITAM-related issues.
- Identify opportunities for automation and continuous improvement within ITAM processes.
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to knowledge sharing within the platform team.
Required Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.5+ years of ServiceNow development experience, with at least 2 3 years focused on ITAM (HAM Pro / SAM Pro).Strong knowledge of ITIL and ITAM practices (hardware lifecycle, software license models, vendor management).Proficiency in ServiceNow development : JavaScript, Flow Designer, Integration Hub, APIs, MID Server.Hands-on experience with Discovery, CMDB, and normalization / reconciliation processes.ServiceNow certifications (CSA, CIS-HAM, CIS-SAM, CAD) strongly preferred.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
