Description :

Position available specifically for Preadmission Testing, focusing on preparing patients for surgery.

Hours may vary, preferably four 10-hour shifts.

Shifts may vary due to unit needs.

Unit information : Number of Beds - 15

Number of Staff Varies

Type of staff includes day shift roles such as charge nurse, registered nurses, certified nursing assistants, and sitters.

Patient ratios are 1 : 2.

Type of equipment includes EMR, specifically Meditech.

The ideal candidate will have experience in day surgery or PACU.

Candidates without day surgery or PACU experience will not be considered.

Typical procedures performed include recovery.

The best personality fit is easy-going and pleasant.

Floating may occur to preadmission testing.

Dress code requires royal blue scrubs or hospital scrubs.

Unit guidelines are based on ASPAN guidelines.

On-call shifts are not required.
