Salary : $85,000 - $130,000 per year (salaried)
Schedule : Monday - Friday, 9 : 00 AM - 5 : 00 PM
Job Type : Full-time, Part-time

Qualifications
- Current RN or LPN license in the State of Michigan, in good standing
- Strong assessment, documentation, and clinical management skills
- Proven ability to lead, educate, and discipline care staff when necessary
- Familiarity with state regulations applicable to nursing and hospice care
- Effective communication skills with residents, families, staff, and healthcare partners
Job Summary
The Building Nurse is responsible for :
Providing case management and hospice care services to residents within the community and designated service locationsAssisting building staff in promoting exceptional patient careEssential Job Duties
Resident Care & Clinical Oversight
Review service plans and update as needed, ensuring communication and follow-through with care staffCommunicate directly with the Building Administrator regarding resident care concerns and approachesConduct rounds to monitor resident condition and staff performance, ensuring service plans are followedMonitor QuickMar for updates, pharmacy changes, and areas of concernMedication & Documentation Management
Perform weekly med cart audits and monitor narcotic counts for accuracyEnsure compliance with HIPAA, resident rights, and state regulatory requirementsMaintain accurate, timely, and complete clinical documentation and care notesStaff Leadership & Training
Educate, coach, and discipline care staff as neededProvide in-service training and ongoing education for caregivers and nursesWelcome and support new employees to ensure a smooth transition into the teamParticipate in quality assurance activities and surveys to maintain the highest standard of careHospice & Palliative Care Services
Provide case management, coordinate hospice services, and support residents / families throughout the end-of-life journeyConduct initial and ongoing hospice assessments, including medical history, physical examination, and care needsCollaborate with attending physicians, medical directors, and IDG team members regarding patient conditions and care plansPronounce time of death for hospice patients and conduct death visits according to policyProvide education to patients and families about the dying process, dietary considerations, and healthcare decisionsEvaluate the effectiveness of hospice services and ensure care plans remain currentRegulatory Compliance & Quality Assurance
Remain knowledgeable of state and federal regulations, Medicare / Medicaid requirements, and accreditation standardsMonitor facility compliance with nursing department regulations and standards of practiceActively participate in case conferences, IDG meetings, and interdisciplinary coordinationPhysical & Professional Requirements
Ability to access resident rooms that may not be wheelchair accessibleSufficient hearing, eyesight, and dexterity to perform patient assessments and care proceduresPhysical ability to walk, stand, stoop, and lift / turn patients as neededCommitment to ongoing professional development through workshops, in-services, and continued educationBenefits
