Managers are responsible for coaching crew members throughout their shift to execute operational brand standards and deliver a great and friendly guest experience. They set goals, provide job assignments, and motivate others, celebrating successes and providing timely feedback.

Responsibilities

Team Environment :

  • Support a respectful team environment
  • Communicate shift priorities, goals and results with team members
  • Support the training of crew members as requested
  • Provide coaching and feedback to crew members

Operational Excellence :

  • Create and maintain a guest first culture in the restaurant
  • Resolve guest issues
  • Ensure brand standards, recipes, and systems are executed
  • Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing safety, food safety and sanitation guidelines; comply with local and state laws
  • Profitability :

  • Drive sales goals and results
  • Execute restaurant standards and marketing initiatives
  • Manage cash over / short during shift
  • Ensure all products are prepared according to brand standards
  • Skills and Qualifications :

  • Fluent in English
  • Restaurant, retail, or supervisory experience
  • Math and writing skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • At least 18 years of age (where applicable)
  • High School diploma or equivalent, preferred

    Training Introduction

    At Jimmy John's, we use a blended training approach to build the knowledge and skills for you to be successful in your role. We use managers and instore trainers, called Brand Ambassadors, to provide you hip-to-hip training on how to perform each task at a JJ's and we also use FAST TRACK, which is our Learning Management System (LMS) that provides you e-learning courses, job aids and other operational tools to reference, on your pathway to becoming a JJ ROCKSTAR. Blending hands by learning with computer-based instruction gets you ready to rock your first 30 days at JJ's.
