Summary :
AlphaStaffHCM™ is recruiting on behalf of a Houston-based technology company transforming businesses with AI-driven solutions. Our client builds AI “workers” that handle complex tasks, detect anomalies, engage customers, and autonomously manage insights, data, scheduling, and issues. The company is a trusted partner for enterprises implementing AI initiatives. This is a 14-month contract position offering competitive hourly pay and the opportunity to contribute to high-impact enterprise technology projects.
Day-to-Day :
As an Adaptive Planning Analyst, you’ll play a key role in supporting financial planning, reporting, and system integration initiatives within Workday Adaptive Planning. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to design and maintain data models, optimize system performance, and deliver high-quality reports and dashboards that drive business insights. The role requires strong technical expertise, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to thrive in a hybrid environment (onsite 4–5 days per week in The Woodlands area).
Responsibilities :
- Develop, maintain, and optimize integrations between Workday Adaptive Planning and other enterprise systems
- Configure and manage Adaptive Planning models, sheets, formulas, access rules, dashboards, and reports
- Write and troubleshoot complex SQL queries to support integrations, reporting, and data validation
- Support data mapping activities to align business and analytical requirements
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define integration needs and deliver scalable, reliable solutions
- Identify and resolve configuration or performance issues through close coordination with users and vendors
- Participate in a shared rotation for on-call support during peak planning cycles (typically May–October)
- Partner with U.S.-based team members across time zones to ensure smooth communication and project delivery
Required Qualifications :
Hands-on experience with Workday Adaptive PlanningStrong understanding of system integrations and data flowsProficient in SQL, including complex joins, subqueries, and aggregate functionsSkilled in building data models, reports, and interactive dashboardsCollaborative and effective in cross-functional, team-based environmentsPreferred Qualifications :
Understanding of API design, development, and integrationFamiliarity with financial planning and analysis processes (budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis)Knowledge of Snowflake data integration tools and architectureExperience with IBM Planning Analytics (TM1) is a plusCompensation and Perks :
