Local Contract Certified Surgical Technologist - $27-38 per hour

First Connect Health is seeking a local contract Certified Surgical Technologist for a local contract job in Peoria, Illinois. Job Description & Requirements Specialty : Certified Surgical Technologist Discipline : Allied Health Professional Start Date : 10 / 27 / 2025 Duration : 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift : 8 hours, days, nights Employment Type : Local Contract Surgical Technologist (Surg Tech) – Direct Hire ! Facility : OSF Healthcare Shifts : Varied (Weekends may be required) Salary Range : Surgical Technologist I : $27.26 – $38.48 / hr Surgical Technologist II : $27.26 – $38.48 / hr (3% range adjustment) Sign-On Bonus : Up to $15,000 (prorated based on FTE) Key Responsibilities : Scrub for a wide variety of surgical procedures, including : Pediatrics, trauma, orthopedics, vascular, transplant, thoracic, OB / GYN, plastics, urology, oncology, robotics, dental, laser, EENT, and interventional radiology Prepare operating rooms by gathering and arranging instruments, supplies, implants, and hardware Maintain aseptic technique and ensure all counts are accurate Assist surgeons during procedures, including draping, passing instruments, holding retractors, and first assisting when appropriate Manage surgical specimens, labeling and documenting per protocol Maintain a sterile field and support post-procedure clean-up and instrument sterilization Qualifications : Required : Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program Basic knowledge of anatomy, physiology, disease processes, aseptic technique, and modern surgical procedures Willingness to undergo intra-operative orientation and on-the-job training (minimum 4 months) BLS certification (American Heart Association) Strong interpersonal and team collaboration skills CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) preferred but not required New grads welcome to apply!
