Summary

Kele Industrial is seeking a driven and technically skilled Valve Automation Specialist to lead the growth of automated valve sales across the country. This role will partner closely with Account Managers to identify opportunities, conduct joint sales calls, and deliver high-impact training on strategically selling automated valve solutions. The ideal candidate will possess strong application knowledge, sales acumen, and a passion for enabling others to succeed.

Essential Responsibilities

Sales Growth & Strategy

  • Develop and execute a national sales strategy to drive growth in automated valve solutions.
  • Partner with Account Managers to identify high-potential opportunities and build winning proposals.
  • Conduct joint customer visits to present solutions, resolve technical challenges, and close sales.
  • Track market trends, customer needs, and competitor offerings to refine sales strategies.

Training & Sales Enablement

  • Develop and deliver training programs for new and existing Account Managers on the sales process for automated valves.
  • Teach strategic selling techniques, solution-based selling approaches, and value proposition development.
  • Create sales tools, resources, and presentations to support field sales effectiveness.
  • Mentor Account Managers on technical aspects of automated valve products, ensuring confidence in customer interactions.
  • Customer Engagement & Support

  • Serve as the subject matter expert for automated valve solutions during the sales cycle.
  • Partner with customers to understand their applications and recommend optimal solutions.
  • Provide application engineering support to ensure successful project execution and customer satisfaction.
  • Collaboration & Cross-Functional Alignment

  • Work closely with product management to share market feedback and influence product line strategies.
  • Collaborate with marketing to develop promotional materials and campaigns targeting automated valve solutions.
  • Support trade shows, webinars, and industry events as a company representative.
  • Performance Tracking & Reporting

  • Monitor sales performance, pipeline growth, and market penetration for automated valve products.
  • Provide regular updates to leadership on progress against goals, key wins, and challenges.
  • Identify and act on opportunities to improve sales processes and customer engagement.
  • Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Distribution, Business, or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in technical sales, application engineering, or industrial distribution, with a focus on automated valve solutions preferred.
  • Proven track record of growing sales and developing customer relationships in a technical product category.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to travel frequently to support national sales initiatives and customer visits.
  • Preferred Skills

  • In-depth knowledge of valve automation, actuation, and related control products.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Epicor, Salesforce).
  • Experience developing and delivering technical training to sales teams.
  • Ability to interpret and apply technical specifications to customer requirements.
