Description :

Shakopee Public Schools is seeking a 1.0 FTE Special Education (SpEd) Teacher to join Shakopee High School for the 2025-26 School Year.

Job Summary :

Provide direct and indirect special education services in a resource room and / or co-taught classroom, monitor IEP goals, follow due process, manage paperwork, communicate with families and staff, develop Behavior Intervention Plans, supervise paraprofessionals, and deliver content-area instruction tailored to student abilities. Foster a positive classroom environment and collaborate effectively with colleagues and families.

• MN licensure in special education (EBD, SLD, ASD, or ABS) required.
• NVCI (CPI) training preferred.
• Experience with various disabilities and delivering specialized instruction; training provided.
• Experience with multiple instructional designs and differentiated instruction.
