Are you searching for an opportunity to leverage your extensive experience in property appraisal and assessments? If so, consider applying to the City of Harrisonburg Commissioner of the Revenue's Real Estate Manager position! The Real Estate Manager position is a full-time, exempt role with benefits and a preferred hiring range of $39.07 - $43.95 per hour (equivalent to $81,265 - $91,416 annually); however, an exact salary will be dependent upon the selected candidate's qualifications and experience and in compliance with City policy. In this key role, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the appraisal of real property within the City for assessment purposes while also ensuring the maintenance of all related records. In addition to reporting directly to the Commissioner of the Revenue and performing day-to-day managerial duties, you'll serve as a leader within the department while supervising a team of appraisers and support staff.

Minimum Qualifications

Associates / Technical degree with coursework in real estate appraisal or related field and extensive (6+ years) experience in property appraisal and assessments. Due to the nature of this position, the Real Estate Manager is prohibited from participating in any outside activity, including private appraisals, which may be deemed a conflict of interest by the Commissioner. The selected candidate for this position will be subject to the following screenings and must receive satisfactory results : DMV record review; and Criminal background check.
