Job Title : Phlebotomist

Duartion : 3months

Location : Bloomington IL

Shift : M- F 7am - 4pm

Pay Range - $24 / hr

Job Summary :

The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) serves as the frontline representative of the company to patients visiting for routine healthcare or critical diagnostic services. The PSR I is responsible for drawing quality blood specimens and preparing them for laboratory testing while strictly adhering to standard protocols. This role requires professionalism, strong communication, attention to detail, and a patient-centered approach to care.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Accurately perform daily specimen collection and processing under supervision.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and professional environment .
  • Confidently perform both clinical and forensic specimen collection following all procedures and safety protocols.
  • Explain procedures clearly and compassionately to patients to ensure comfort and cooperation.
  • Ensure proper patient identification , specimen labeling, and documentation.
  • Maintain and organize all required records .
  • Demonstrate a positive organizational image to patients, clients, colleagues, and the public.
  • Exhibit Leadership Behaviors and commitment to process excellence and data confidentiality .

Job Requirements :

  • Ability to produce quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision.
  • Strong phlebotomy skills , including pediatric and geriatric collections.
  • Flexible availability based on business needs, including :

    • Weekends

  • Holidays
  • On-call shifts
  • Overtime
  • Commitment to company policies and procedures .
  • Ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities.

    • Education Requirements :

  • High school diploma or equivalent - REQUIRED
  • Medical training (e.g., medical assistant or paramedic) - Preferred
  • Phlebotomy certification - Preferred

    • Mandatory in California, Nevada, and Washington

    Work Experience :

  • Minimum of 6 months experience - REQUIRED
  • 1+ year of phlebotomy experience - Preferred
  • Customer service experience in retail or service environments - Preferred
  • Keyboard and data entry proficiency - REQUIRED

    • Additional Details :

  • The work environment is fast-paced , requiring excellent time management and adaptability.
  • Training location may vary depending on trainer availability.
