Position Responsibilities :
The Engineering Manager will lead and direct all engineering and research & development efforts, ensuring alignment with strategic business goals. This role will involve oversight of new product designs, continuous improvement initiatives, and technical support for sales and manufacturing operations.
- Lead and mentor a cross-functional engineering team, providing daily direction and feedback.
- Oversee product development, electrical and mechanical design, and drafting.
- Drive R&D initiatives, addressing customer concerns and identifying product improvement opportunities.
- Define and execute departmental goals in coordination with executive leadership.
- Ensure efficient, safe, and quality-driven product designs.
- Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to provide technical input during negotiations.
- Improve design and manufacturing processes to boost safety, reduce cost, and enhance product value.
- Keep engineering systems and design tools current and forward-looking.
- Monitor and analyze key performance metrics for continuous improvement.
- Manage department budgets and ensure cost-effective operations.
- Establish and enforce design, safety, and quality standards.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 25%.
Position requirements :
Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.At least 10 years of engineering experience, preferably in electric motors or generators.Minimum 5 years of engineering or R&D leadership experience in a relevant industry.Familiarity with ISO 9001 documentation standards.Proficiency with SAP and Microsoft Office Suite.Strong understanding of lean principles and process improvement methodologies.Proven leadership and communication skills with the ability to drive results and influence across teams.Capable of managing complex projects and balancing multiple priorities.Able to lift up to 25 pounds and occasionally navigate ladders or multiple flights of stairs.Preferred Requirements :
Master's degree in Engineering.Experience working in highly technical, specialized design environments.Strong presentation skills and experience communicating with all levels of management.Reasons to Apply :
