JOB OVERVIEW

The Superintendent / Working Foreman is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the operations of the project construction site. You will manage personnel and daily site activities to ensure the project is constructed in accordance with our safety-first philosophy, design specification, budget, and schedule.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

• Interpret blueprints, specifications, and job orders to ensure work is completed according to plan.
• Manage, oversee, and coordinate all day-to-day operations of the construction site. This includes working with employees, subcontractors, consultants, and clients involved in construction, inspections, and testing.
• Develop and Manage job schedules (i.e., look-ahead schedules, etc.); coordinate scheduling with in-house workers, subcontractors, project owners, inspectors, and vendors / suppliers. Schedule work ahead of time.
• Monitors subcontractor work to ensure work is complete per subcontractor agreement.
• Implement site quality control plans. Track, report, and correct deficiencies.
• Perform daily inspections of work performed and log work performed.
• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with plans, specifications, and project requirements.
• Train and mentor crew members, ensuring proper use of tools and adherence to best practices.
• Ensure the safety of all personnel of the project site. Assist the Safety Manager as needed.
• May have to perform various tasks on construction sites, including but not limited to operating machinery, material handling, assisting skilled trades, site preparation.
• Troubleshoot on-site issues and implement effective solutions.

REQUIREMENTS

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The majority of your work will be performed in an outdoor setting, where you will interact with a wide variety of people with differing functions, personalities, and abilities.

LIFTING & CARRYING

This position is generally active, requiring routine walking, standing, bending and carrying items weighing up to 50 pounds . Employee must maintain a constant state of mental alertness at all times.

MOBILITY

The employees will need to move around to attend meetings, access shared resources, and collaborate with team members.
