Orthopedics Nurse Practitioner

Locums - Orthopedics NP / PA - Camp Hill, Pennsylvania

Start Date : ASAP

Contract Length : Ongoing Need

Setting : Hospital - Orthopedics / Trauma Support

EMR : Cerner

Schedule & Coverage

Shifts : Day shifts (8-12 hours) + night coverage

Coverage : Full-time weekdays (day / night)

Call Type : In-house with off-site call back

Call Response Time : 60 minutes required

Coverage Model :

2 APPs on during the day

1 APP at night

Duties & Expectations

Rounding, assisting in the OR, responding to ED pages

Suturing

Comfortable performing fracture reductions

Independent decision-making, then escalating to Trauma / Ortho surgeons as needed

Must have prior OR assist experience

Patient & Facility Details

Phone Consults : 20 per shift

Patients Seen : 10 per shift

Admissions : 2-5 per shift

Call Ratio : 5-25

Call Back Rate : 60%

Facility Beds : 12-30

Hospital Stroke Certified

Trauma Level II

Candidate Requirements

Experience Required - Must have orthopedic APP experience

Board Certification - NP or PA (Required)

Active Pennsylvania License - Required

ACLS - Required
