Homewatch CareGivers is growing rapidly and expanding its services to offer the full continuum in home-based care. As we broaden our reach to meet the diverse needs of our clients, we are seeking a dedicated and experienced nurse leader to oversee our nursing service lines and support our franchisees and national accounts through clinical oversight and quality assurance. The Clinical Nurse Manager plays a critical role in supporting franchisees across the network by ensuring compliance with state licensure requirements and CHAP accreditation standards, developing clinical best practices, validating nursing leadership competencies, and collaborating with internal teams to expand national account opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Growth
- Champion the expansion of nursing service lines as Homewatch CareGivers grows into the full continuum of home-based care.
- Collaborate with executive and franchise leadership to ensure clinical programs align with organizational growth and brand standards.
- Participate in strategic planning sessions to align clinical capabilities with business development goals.
- Partner with the National Account Specialist to identify and pursue opportunities to expand the skilled nursing footprint within national accounts.
- Represent skilled nursing services in cross-functional initiatives and client engagements.
Franchisee Support & Compliance
Assist franchisees with implementing and maintaining compliance with policies and procedures related to skilled nursing services.Guide franchisees through the state licensure process for skilled nursing services.Provide hands-on support and consultation during CHAP accreditation preparation and surveys.Monitor regulatory changes and communicate updates to relevant stakeholders.Validate nursing skills and ensure adherence to CHAP accreditation standards (knowledge of CHAP standards is a plus).Audit caregiver and client files to ensure documentation meets CHAP requirements.Clinical Operations & SOP Development
Design, implement, and maintain standardized operating procedures (SOPs) for skilled nursing services.Ensure SOPs align with federal, state, and accreditation requirements.Conduct periodic reviews and updates to SOPs based on evolving best practices.Leadership Validation & Coaching
Assess and validate the competencies of Directors of Nursing (DONs) and Nursing Managers across the network.Develop and deliver training programs to strengthen clinical leadership.Provide ongoing mentorship and performance feedback to nursing leaders.National Accounts Oversight
Support the sales team in securing national accounts by ensuring clinical accuracy and professionalism.Maintain relationships with national accounts and ensure quality standards are upheld.Clinical Documentation & Systems
Audit nurse notes within the EMR system for accuracy and completeness.Maintain and update the clinical operations manual.Staffing & Credentialing
Support the hiring process for nurses, including credential validation and onboarding.Develop and manage onboarding programs for Directors of Nursing / Nurse Supervisors and NursesCollaborate with Directors of Nursing and Nurse Supervisors across the network in the validation of nurse skills / competenciesLicensing & Education
Audit nurse licenses to confirm they are current and free of board actions.Oversee annual competency evaluations.Plan and manage ongoing education requirements using the organization’s LMS.Education
Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) or equivalent.Advanced certifications in nursing administration or related fields are a plus.Qualifications
Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid license in good standing.Minimum of 5 years in skilled nursing or home-based care leadership (preferably in a corporate or administrative role).Experience with CHAP or other accreditation bodies strongly preferred.Proven ability to develop SOPs and lead clinical training initiatives.Strong understanding of state licensure processes across multiple jurisdictions.Experience with EMR systems.Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.Ability to travel as needed (up to 50%).We believe our greatest assets are our employees, we offer competitive salaries and a full benefits package to include, PTO, paid holidays, 401(k) and more.
