Job Description : Project Manager
Position Overview
The Project Manager is responsible for coordinating projects from inception through delivery. This includes order processing, engineering coordination, production and shipping alignment, customer care, and reporting. The Project Manager plays a critical role in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest quality and safety standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Order Acknowledgement Processing :
- Manage Orders Inbox : Monitor the ORDERS email account, respond to customer inquiries, and process purchase orders.
- Customer Communication : Prepare and send acknowledgments, invoices, and drawings.
- Order Approval Follow-up : Monitor Smartsheet dashboards, send reminders, update status, and follow up by phone.
Engineering Coordination :
Ensure approved drawings are received and sent to customers in a timely manner.Coordinate with engineering to prepare departmental work packets and ensure production clarity.Production / Materials / Shipping Coordination :
Work with materials to ensure timely delivery of components.Ensure production supervisors understand project objectives, due dates, and equipment requirements.Conduct production meetings to confirm project progress and address obstacles.Ensure shipping is aware of equipment departure dates.Assist Operations Manager with special projects, process improvements, and shop organization initiatives.Customer Care :
Respond quickly to customer questions and concerns.Reporting :
Provide Operations Manager with project status updates (timelines, challenges, needs).Monitor customer satisfaction and ensure all deliverables are met.Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or PMP certification preferred, not required.Experience in manufacturing, engineering, or project management preferred.Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.Ability to work cross-functionally across departments.Commitment to upholding safety, quality, and company standards.Compensation and Benefits
