Job Summary :

The Phlebotomist Patient Services Representative (PSR II) serves as the face of the organization, delivering exceptional patient care during routine visits or critical diagnostic procedures. This role is responsible for safely collecting blood specimens, preparing them for testing, and ensuring a high standard of patient interaction and procedural accuracy. The PSR II also adheres to organizational values of confidentiality, professionalism, and continuous improvement, operating in a dynamic clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Perform accurate and timely specimen collection, including forensic and clinical samples.
  • Verify patient identity and labeling to ensure sample integrity.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to all safety protocols.
  • Ensure a clean, professional, and compliant work environment.
  • Travel to and provide support at various collection sites as required.
  • Provide transparent communication with patients and clinical staff.
  • Uphold all company policies, including dress code, safety, and patient privacy.
  • Deliver customer service that enhances the patient experience and reflects company values.
  • Required Experience :

  • Minimum of 3 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric and geriatric populations.
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver's license (as applicable).
  • Ability to work independently and handle high patient volumes efficiently.
  • Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and cover other locations as needed.
  • Nice-to-Have Experience :

  • 2+ years working in a Patient Service Center environment.
  • Experience in retail or service-based customer roles.
  • Proficiency with data entry and electronic systems.
  • Required Skills :

  • Pediatric and geriatric phlebotomy proficiency
  • Independent and reliable task execution
  • Multitasking under high-volume conditions
  • Preferred Skills :

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Familiarity with clinical safety and compliance procedures
  • Ability to adapt to changing schedules and environments
  • Comfort with electronic medical record systems
  • Leadership and accountability in healthcare delivery
  • Additional Skills :

  • Medical assistant or paramedic background (preferred)
  • Phlebotomy certification (required in CA, NV, WA; preferred elsewhere)
  • Strong customer focus and business understanding
  • Adherence to confidentiality and procedural excellence
