job_description.job_card.job_descriptionWork in a short-term acute care hospital in both diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab settings Adult patient population with common procedures including cardiac stent placement, left and right heart catheterization, PCI, IABP and Impella insertions, PTCA, and atherectomy Involvement with central venous access, angioplasty, and upper / lower extremity angiography Day shifts (4x10 hours), 6 : 30 AM to 5 : 00 PM, with variable weekend and call requirements Float within hospital service line and to affiliate facilities as needed Uses EPIC for charting; EPIC experience preferred Fluoroscopy equipment required; Siemens equipment experience preferred First-time travelers are accepted for this assignment Scrubs are provided by the facility On-call and weekend work are required, following hospital rotation Maximum of 7 days of requested time off allowed per 13-week contract; no time off approved during the first week of assignment Permanent employees must wait one year before returning as a traveler Free parking is provided on-site Must pass fit testing for respirator use, following facial hair guidelines Modules and orientation are completed pre-start No medical marijuana cards accepted Return staff and assignment duration rules apply within the system Minimum 2 years of recent Cath Lab Tech or Rad Tech experience Current ARRT, BLS, and ACLS certifications required Experience with cardiac catheterization, percutaneous coronary interventions, vascular diagnostic and interventional procedures required Ability to recognize life-threatening arrhythmias and perform in high-acuity situations Must live at least 75 miles from the facility; no local candidates accepted Ability to float to sister facilities within the system required Experience with isolation precautions required License required if applicable High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts
