American Traveler is seeking an experienced Cath Lab Technologist with ARRT, BLS, and ACLS for a dynamic cardiac cath and interventional setting.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in a short-term acute care hospital in both diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab settingsAdult patient population with common procedures including cardiac stent placement, left and right heart catheterization, PCI, IABP and Impella insertions, PTCA, and atherectomyInvolvement with central venous access, angioplasty, and upper / lower extremity angiographyDay shifts (4x10 hours), 6 : 30 AM to 5 : 00 PM, with variable weekend and call requirementsFloat within hospital service line and to affiliate facilities as neededUses EPIC for charting; EPIC experience preferredFluoroscopy equipment required; Siemens equipment experience preferredFirst-time travelers are accepted for this assignmentScrubs are provided by the facilityOn-call and weekend work are required, following hospital rotationMaximum of 7 days of requested time off allowed per 13-week contract; no time off approved during the first week of assignmentPermanent employees must wait one year before returning as a travelerFree parking is provided on-siteMust pass fit testing for respirator use, following facial hair guidelinesModules and orientation are completed pre-startNo medical marijuana cards acceptedReturn staff and assignment duration rules apply within the system\n \n Requirements\n
Minimum 2 years of recent Cath Lab Tech or Rad Tech experienceCurrent ARRT, BLS, and ACLS certifications requiredExperience with cardiac catheterization, percutaneous coronary interventions, vascular diagnostic and interventional procedures requiredAbility to recognize life-threatening arrhythmias and perform in high-acuity situationsMust live at least 75 miles from the facility; no local candidates acceptedAbility to float to sister facilities within the system requiredExperience with isolation precautions requiredLicense required if applicable\n Benefits\n
