About The Position
Cardiothoracic Surgery APP Opportunity in Dallas, Texas
Join a respected surgical team with a clear focus : skilled, efficient operative care in a high-volume setting. This position offers dedicated OR time, limited clinic responsibilities, and no rounding, ideal for experienced Advanced Practice Providers ready to hit the ground running. This is a full-time role in Cardiothoracic Surgery for a PA-C or NP with robust experience and a desire for long-term alignment.
Practice Overview
- Join a high-volume team of 3 CT surgeons and 3 experienced PAs (4 total, with one departing)
- Focused first-assist role with 95% of time spent in the OR; clinic duties limited to one ½ day per week
- Surgical mix includes CABG, valve replacements, thoracic resections, aortic work, and robotic-assisted cases
- Endoscopic vein harvesting required; no inpatient rounding or pre-op responsibilities
Schedule
Monday-Friday workweek with 4.5 days in the OR and ½ day of clinic (post-ops only)Call rotation is one weekday per week and one weekend per month, with additional shift pay if called inEmergency surgeries only on weekends; PA call is secondary and typically home-based after hoursAverage 2-3 cases per day, with some days at a second nearby hospitalCompensation & Benefits
