Otolaryngology Physician

Job Overview :

We are seeking a Board-Certified Otolaryngologist for a locum tenens assignment beginning August 18, 2025 . This is a high-need, full-scope ENT opportunity for experienced providers who can offer full-time coverage at least two weeks per month , including clinic and 24 / 7 hospital call .

Assignment Details :

Location : MercyOne Waterloo Medical Center Waterloo, Iowa

Start Date : Must be available starting August 18, 2025

Duration : Ongoing

Schedule :

Clinic Days : Monday Friday (3 5 days / week)

Clinic Hours : Mon Thurs 8 : 00 AM 5 : 00 PM; Fri 8 : 00 AM 3 : 00 PM

Procedure / OR Day : Friday

Call Coverage : 24 / 7 call for 2 consecutive weeks / month (includes established patients, ED, and consults)

Shift Lengths : 24-hour coverage for call

Practice & Facility Details :

Inpatient Responsibilities : Yes

Clinic Volume : patients / day

Exam Rooms : 3 per provider plus procedure rooms

Support Staff : 2 : 1 ratio of nursing and ancillary support

EMR : Epic

Other Services : On-site lab, imaging, pharmacy, full-time audiologist

Patient Demographics : Adult males and females from urban and rural populations

Procedures Required :

General ENT clinic care

Basic ENT surgeries (tubes, tonsils)

Nasopharyngeal scopes

Biopsies

Direct laryngoscopies

Candidate Requirements :

Board Certified in Otolaryngology Required

Fellowship Trained (ENT) Required

Active Iowa License or IMLC Required (must upload LOQ at submission)

Minimum 5 years of experience preferred

Clean malpractice history Required

Must be available for full-time coverage starting August 18, 2025
