We are seeking a skilled Marine Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical and electrical systems, with experience in servicing and maintaining marine vessels. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, customer service skills, and the ability to work with various tools and equipment. The Marine Technician will be responsible for diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and ensuring that all systems are functioning optimally.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues on marine vessels.
- Utilize schematics and available resources to troubleshoot and resolve problems effectively.
- Perform routine maintenance on running gear, engines, electrical systems, and other boat components.
- Assemble and install new marine equipment on yachts, including but not limited to engines, running gear, DC and AC electrical systems, electronics, pumps, tankage, and more.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients about repairs and maintenance.
- Assist in vehicle maintenance related to marine operations.
- Perform physical activities required during the repair process.
Qualifications
Previous experience as a service technician or mechanic is preferred.Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge with hands-on experience in boat building and maintenance is required.Familiarity with electrical systems and a background in wiring are required.ABYC Certification is a plus, but not required.An electrician's license is a plus, but not required.Diesel engine certification is a plus, but not required.Metal fabrication experience, including any welding skills, is a plus.Experience in boat construction, including fiberglass build methods, is a plus.Communication skills for effective customer interaction is requried.Being a team player with a background in working well with others is required.The ability to perform physical tasks safely is required.Job Type : Full-time
Pay : $28.00 - $33.00 per hour
