Payload Program Manager
Lockheed Martin Space is looking for a motivated, positive, and energetic Payload Program Manager to be the Deputy IPT lead of the Wildfire program. The Payload Program Manager, as a member of the IGNITE and WILDFIRE management teams, will be responsible for ensuring program needs and engineering-recommended practices are implemented and coordinated consistent with program hardware delivery dates. The Payload Program Manager will oversee WILDFIRE antenna / RF subsystem and component design activities, including development of component level and system-level requirements, drawing release, production, test, verification, and integration activities. This position emphasizes a 'systems thinking' mindset throughout the product lifecycle of RF subsystems and components.
Key Responsibilities include :
- Provide leadership while balancing technical, cost, and schedule performance.
- Review and approve program plans, schedules, cost targets, and staffing activities.
- Lead an experienced team of engineers, analysts, and adjacent functional support organizations.
- Support proposal development, engage with customer teams, and participate in executive-level reviews.
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of hardware to ATLO, drive closure on failures, and manage IPT payload costs.
Up to 25% travel may be required. Successful applicants will generally possess 8+ years of related experience and may have a post-secondary Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or other relevant discipline, from an accredited university.

Experience with the Wildfire program or similar aerospace programs.Familiarity with RF, antenna, or microwave subsystem / component design, development, integration, or test.Understanding of spacecraft flight hardware, including radome, thermal, vibration, shock, and environmental testing.Experience with supplier oversight and coordination in a technical program environment.Knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM) metrics and program reporting.Experience in fast-paced, agile program environments.Strong systems thinking and ability to consider technical, cost, and schedule trade-offs across a program lifecycle.Security Clearance Statement : This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
