The “Military Account Manager” acts as a capture mgr. for all major pursuits for their assigned accts. They would support cradle to grave contract work. They will have the support of CSA’s within the proposal entry phase. The account manager is ultimately responsible for all major pursuits. The # of pursuits & types vary in depending on the type of accounts assigned.
They would have 2 premier accts and a batch of several lower accts. i.e. Lockheed Martin and BAE would fall under the premier category.
There is a secondary gov’t program that would need to take over the Boeing acct.
There is also a new development program that needs aftermarket guidance.
# of pursuits vary from 10-20+ depending on the lifecycle. Full lifecycle from capture to execution / delivery should be the expectation.
- The incumbent will be heavily involved with the contract negotiations as well.
- A decent amount of contract management experience is required to be successful in this role. This person needs to be a SME in USG contracts.
- Handle post award to make sure that the customer scorecard is met & that we are delivering on our contractual agreements.
- Responsible for performance and quality metrics. Responsible for evaluating repair capability activity. Prepared for repair capability for volume and setup contracts properly. Forecasting the workload. Working with OEM teams so they are better prepared for the workload.
- Work with the OEM divisions to address any capacity concerns & supports sales forecast.
- “Capture Management” & anything related to “aftermarket”. Support their ultimate end needs. Deals with all branches of the gov’t thru a prime defense contractor like Lockheed Martin, Raytheon, Northrop Grumman Corporation, BAE, etc. This person would support all end users.
- This person would have a total of 3 direct reports.
- Strong mentorship & coaching capabilities are highly desired.
