Job Details
The Commercial Lines CSR is responsible for providing exceptional customer service and support to clients and producers within the agency’s commercial insurance department. This role involves servicing existing commercial accounts, processing policy transactions, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring timely responses to client and carrier inquiries. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and knowledgeable about commercial insurance coverages and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Provide day-to-day servicing of commercial lines accounts, including processing endorsements, renewals, certificates, cancellations, and reinstatements.
Respond promptly and professionally to client inquiries regarding coverage, billing, claims, and policy details.
Prepare and issue Certificates of Insurance, Evidence of Property, Auto ID Cards, and related documentation.
Assist Account Managers and Producers in marketing new and renewal accounts, obtaining quotes, and comparing coverage options.
Review policies, audits, and endorsements for accuracy before delivery to clients.
Maintain up-to-date client information in the agency management system (e.g., Epic, AMS360, Sagitta, HawkSoft).
Follow up on outstanding items such as policy issuance, endorsements, and carrier correspondence.
Collaborate with underwriters, carriers, and internal team members to ensure seamless account management.
Support claims handling by submitting first notices of loss and assisting clients through the claims process.
Ensure compliance with agency standards, workflows, and industry regulations.
Qualifications
Minimum 1-2 years of commercial insurance experience (CSR or Account Assistant role preferred).
Active 4-40 License (required or must be obtained within a specified period).
Strong knowledge of commercial insurance products, including General Liability, Property, Auto, Workers’ Compensation, and Umbrella.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and agency management systems (e.g., Epic, AMS360, Vertafore, or similar).
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with a client-focused mindset.
Ability to multitask and manage multiple accounts in a fast-paced environment.
